Summary: SNMP Community Name

Thanks to all that replied.  Alot of people had answers for me.  My original message is below.  
 
I was sent a helpful link with basic snmp info that explained alot of things:

As far as solaris specific info:
Configuration file for snmp:  /etc/snmp/conf/snmp.conf
Parameters of note in this file:  read-community and write-community.
Defaults:  public for read and private for write.
