SUMMARY: From Solaris 2.6 to 8 : Upgrade or Fresh Install

Hi Sebastien DAUBIGNE,

I have upgrade from Sol 2.6 to 8 using upgrade option, and upgraded my
fiber channel controller "Firm ware", then every things are fine.

you need not bother about other existing application s/w, it will taken
care by upgrade. Only my advise is, better should have two sets of OS
backup and atleast one set of Full system backup and if OS disk is mirrored
then start upgrade on mirror disk an keep original boot as safer side.

Existing all system S/W and applications should able to support to Solaris
8 environments.
