SUMMARY: force login as user, then "su" to root: not working for SSH

SUMMARY:

a massive amount of replies, all listing the same and simple reason:

in [/usr/local/etc/]sshd_config, uncomment the line

PermitRootLogin	yes

and change the value from 'yes' to 'no' :

PermitRootLogin	no

Then stop and restart the sshd daemon (take care that you don't kick out any
users currently logged in...).
